A retired military dog reunites with its owner after a year and a half, thanks to a rescue organization

Carlos Aranda, a United States Navy handler, first partnered with Donnie during his training at the Norfolk naval base in Virginia. Aranda credits Donnie not only as a partner but also as a mentor. “They pair you with a dog that knows what it’s doing,” he explained to FOX 26 News. “He showed me the ropes and helped me become the handler I am today.”
