4 Week Detection Instructor Course
In order to attend this course, you should have a basic knowledge of how adults learn and how to apply that in a K9 setting. Registrants are required to have taken and passed the four week trainer’s course offered.
This course is designed to assist the student instructor on observing, guiding and effectively directing student handlers in proper K9 handling skills. During the four-week course a student instructor will receive classroom instruction by using a variety of materials to include training videos, slides and a study guide.
The course will provide guidance on how to properly put together a period of instruction by using visual aids and effectively engaging students in a classroom setting. The Student Instructor will as well give student handlers proper hands-on instruction and individual assistance under the guidance of the training instructor. This class is designed to be a great resource for new student instructors in assisting K9 handlers, inexperienced or experienced to develop their skill set effectively and with excellence.
