When DLEcertification was established in 2014, one of our objectives was to enhance canine handlers’ abilities with a new certification. DLEcertification decided another way to enhance the working dog team was to include all working dog teams who are either regular members, all law enforcement or associate members, private sector. DLEcertification established an accreditation program to enhance handler’s training and abilities through state and national training seminars.
DLEcertification, along with trainers from across the nation, developed a new certification standard to enhance canine handler’s abilities. We developed a certification for narcotics, explosives, and patrol. This new testing standard, which we are extremely proud of and hope you will be, too, was developed for the working dog teams to simulate real world deployments.
