K-9 Seminar with Leos Drbohlav

The working dog industry has evolved tremendously in almost every discipline. Starting with modern sports such as IGP, obedience, Mondioring or professional use such as special operations groups. This class will present how to apply the fusion of old school with modern methodology and decades of experience in the field. It will multiply your capability and performance with your K9.

Hosted by Gibsonville, NC Police Department and Chien Policer

Class will include:

  • Narcotics detection: vehicles and indoor, reliability of an alert 3 level search
  • Apprehension, building search, open area search, critical incident tactics, using dog to de-escalate critical situations, outing and reverse to a bite deployment, multiple targets deployment, personal safety of an officer in distress
  • Man trailing and all its variations for non combative and combative scenarios
  • Obedience for regular patrol and non patrol scenarios
  • Introduction to operant conditioning
  • Knowing your dog on an animal instinct level and his nervous system and why is it critical to understand this
  • Intro to the art of decoying and building the dog the right way
