Eight Week Basic Handler Course
October 30 – December 21, 2023
The course will cover detailing, leash work, pattering, scent theory, tracking and control. We will cover scent work and instruct new handlers on how to read their dogs indicators. We will provide hands on approach to solving individual problems. Attempts will be made to place teams into scenarios and situations that may test the handlers and canines abilities. A complete understanding of all detection and patrol case law. Search techniques, control, obedience, tactical obedience and tracking. This class will end with a POST certification for basic narcotic and patrol.
Cost: $800 per week, per K9 team
