Meet Easy: Sioux Falls’ newest bomb dog
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Ten years ago, when the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center first opened, Mitch Wiese was called into a meeting to see if his company Tri-State Security could help fill a gap in their event plans – the need for a bomb dog.
“The police chief at that point said, ‘We don’t have one. We’re not getting one.’ And the general manager looked at me and said, ‘Hey, have you ever thought about a bomb dog?’ And I said no,” Wiese said.
Wiese eventually looked into it further, finding Felix and having him on his staff for 10 years before his passing not long ago.
